Itinerary

Day 1The Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx

A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8:00 am. You will be accompanied by our expert tour guide for your day tour. Your first stop will be the Pyramids of Giza, including Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. After admiring the pyramids, you can visit the Valley Temple and get a closer look at the Great Sphinx – the legendary guardian with the body of a lion and the head of King Chephren.

If you prefer, there is an option to enter the Great Pyramid or the boat museum of King Cheops at an additional cost. However, these tours are not included in the package price. Next, continue your day tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world.

The museum boasts over 250,000 genuine artifacts dating back as far as 5000 years. You can also see an exclusive exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun, including his treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried with him for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in 1920 during his tomb excavation. Note that the entrance fee to the Mummies Room is not included.

Lastly, you will pass by Tahrir Square, where the Egyptian Revolution began in 2011. Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel. Book your Cairo tour package online now.

Day 2 Memphis - Sakkara and Dahshour

A tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to embark on a day tour to Memphis, Sakkara, and Dahshur Pyramids in Cairo. The first stop will be the Step Pyramid at Sakkara, known as the world’s oldest major stone structure. Built for King Djoser in the 3rd Dynasty, it is an impressive piece of architecture. Next, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before visiting Memphis, the first capital of Egypt. Here, you will see the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of Memphis, which are remarkable ancient artifacts. After that, you will drive to Dahshur, where two of Egypt’s best-preserved early pyramids were built during the reign of King Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid at Dahshur provide significant evidence of the architectural development that led to the construction of the Great Pyramid and its companions at Giza. Finally, you will drive back to your hotel.

There are also several optional tours and extra tickets available, including entrance to the burial chamber of King Cheops, the solar boat museum, the tomb of Meresankh III, the Serapeum, the burial chamber of the Step Pyramid, and the tombs of Ptah Hotep and Mereruka. These require additional fees

Day 3Old Cairo Tour

guide for an 8-hour excursion to explore the major monuments of Old Cairo and the historic Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The first stop will be the Saladin Citadel, constructed in 1183 AD as a defense against Crusader armies. The citadel is now a preserved historic site with mosques and museums, including the beautiful Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq.

After the citadel, lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Old Cairo. Next, you will visit major attractions in Old Cairo such as the Hanging Church, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga, which is one of the oldest Coptic churches in Cairo.

Finally, you will continue to the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Explore a maze of alleys that have been the center of Cairo’s trading activities since the 14th century.
